BELLEVIEW--It really was a homecoming for the Talent Quest Florida staff at the Good Time Lounge
Sunday, June 21. As the staff walked into the bar, the crowd applauded, ready for a second year of
the contest.
"I think we were all surprised to get such a big welcome," said Steve Blanchard, show emcee and
contest co-owner. "It was awesome to see so many familiar faces again. We love it here."
Not only was the crowd enthusiastic, it was talented again in 2009. Every category wowed the
judging panel.
"Judy Ray and the Good Time Lounge are old pros at Talent Quest Florida now and it showed with
the level of talent on that stage today," said Phil Garris, contest co-owner and head judge. "We saw
some people we saw last year who not only performed as well as last year, but some were even
better. They really took those critique sheets we hand out to heart."
