start in its history with its first
local final at Anthony's on the
Blvd. Nov. 14.
The first-time venue was
packed to capacity while
nearly 30 singers vied for a
spot in the 2012 Talent Quest
Florida regional competition,
which is July 5-8 at the
Tampa Westshore Marriott.

"This was the right way to start off the new season," said contest co-owner and
head judge Phil Garris. "We saw several strong singers and they seemed to take
their critiques seriously. We made the right decision in starting the 2012 season
so early."
In all, 22 songs were selected to advance to the regional finals. This year, Talent
Quest Florida expects more than 400 singers at the regional final.
