Hello Phil & Steve,
We at Talent Quest would like to take this
opportunity and congratulate all of you involved
in hosting the 2008 Talent Quest Contest held in
the State of Florida. Talent Quest Florida turned
out not only putting on a first class contest, they
hosted the largest regional in this year’s
competition, with a total of eleven local sites for
the contestants to compete at. In the past few
years some of the top singers at the Nationals
have been from this region and we are looking
forward seeing and hearing the wonderful
contestants that Talent Quest Florida sends to
this years event held on the main stage at the
Tropicana Express Hotel & Casino in Laughlin
Nevada.
“Contestants”, We at Talent Quest know that you
have worked hard to get where you are at now in
the contest. Congratulations on a job well done.
Your next competition will be at the Nationals in
Laughlin Nevada. Listen to your Host’s and some
of the contestants that have competed in the
past years at the Nationals. They can advise you
on what to expect in the competition, on “Stage,
Dress & Vocals”. Nothing would please us more
to see one of you leave the Nationals with the
1st. Place Trophy and take it back to your home
town.
With all of this in mind we want you to come out
to the Nationals, enjoy yourself, meet new

Hi Phil and Steve. Just had to let you know what a great time we had at
regionals. The theatre was beautiful and it was an awesome competition
with incredible talent. It was wonderful to see the friends we made last
year,everyone is so supportive of each other it truly is like being with
family. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to Talent Quest, it is
bigger and better every year. Hope we can bring home a big win for
Florida this year. We're looking forward to seeing everyone in Laughlin.

Having been a Talent Quest Florida Competitor since 2005, let me take
this opportunity to express my congratulations to Steve and Phil for taking
up the Production of Talent Quest Florida. You have truly made this a
competition that people want to compete in. There is so much that goes

Hope you are well and somewhat 'rested.' I can't begin to tell you how
amazing adventure the week-end was for me. I was telling Steve that it
was a 'dream come true.' I'll be 60 in November and this was a childhood
dream to be a 'singer' and to be able to perform. For me, this was it. I'm
thrilled and privileged to be in the top 10 of the 50+ female category and
thrilled and blessed to be friends with the two of you .You are blessings for
certain! God bless you both. I love you guys

As a side note. I have no good suggestion how to pull it off with regard to
scheduling and folks' employment situations, but if the Finals could be on
a Saturday evening and you could promote it in Ybor City to the general
public I cannot imagine a better show for $20 for anyone who enjoys
music. In fact, one of our friends who attended Saturday told us "this is
better than American Idol." Thanks again and best wishes.

Thank you for putting together such a great SHOW & wonderful weekend.
Even had Lonza not been selected as the winner we would still have
shared a tremendous experience. We met so very many talented
individuals & beautiful people we'll never forget the experience. We are
both looking forward to Nevada as well as being even more involved in
competitions & shows this coming year. Again, many thanks. Also, a
note to Steve, keep the RED Suit, keep on singing & speaking! You
were a joy.

I have been fortunate to have been associated with Talent Quest Florida
since 2005 and have been out to Laughlin for the National contest there in
2005,and have competed in Talent Quest Florida every year since. The
Florida contest has grown by leaps and bounds over the years to become
the biggest and best contest I have ever seen, including the Nationals.
While some contestants are disappointed by not making it into the top 10
or the top 5 or winning the contest, just remember that you were judged
fairly as I was,and I really feel honored to have made the top 10 again this
year. But watch out, guys in the 50 and over, I will be back next year and I
will be competing in the Nationals this year as well.
I know that my performance will be much better out there and next year, as
I have always used those comments and turned the negative into
something to work towards in getting better and better, so use them the
same way, and your performance will be at the top. The judges are tough
as they have always been and that's a good thing. It is not about stroking
your ego, it is a contest, get yourself a voice/ performance coach and
listen to him/her, and lets have a bigger and better contest next year. I look
forward to seeing a lot of this years contestants out in Laughlin. It will be a
blast

I appreciate the opportunity to compete in Talent Quest Florida and am
proud to be from the "talent pool" that is Fort Myers. At Star Search in
Orlando 1989 the line was cut off 4 people in front of me. Too old for
America Idol. I thought this would be my one chance to prove I can sing
with the best. Maybe someday I WILL prove it. Thanks again.
That being said, I think out of fairness to all performers, TQ should
consider a separate Broadway/ Theatrical Category. My best to the six
Florida Champs (especially Michael & Lonza)!

What an incredible weekend it was for our entire family to be able to come
and not only compete but to be entertained by so many wonderful, talented
voices. Our children, (we think the only ones there) had a really good time

After seeing the Ft. Myers shows, (good) and then spending time/money
to go to Ybor, I found the judging, presentation, and the whole "set up" to
be just that....a sham, through and through and filled with lies and
dishonesty. How dare you to be able to cost the people money and
already know the outcome (that) has been categorized by a few.

Having never been to or even heard of Talent Quest, I was
extremely impressed. The talent was very good but the work that went
into making sure all details were taken care of and all contestants were
