Hi Phil
I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the regional competitions in Ybor City. Both the
Country and Contemporary contests were a lot of fun as well as a good learning experience. The
judges comments were helpful in assessing the contestants strong points and where improvements
could be made. All the contestants were supportive of each other and the audiences were too. It was
very professional and you and Steve were great hosts. I know it must have been a great deal of work
to put this all together. You also had a great team of volunteers who were helpful and gracious. You
had a tremendous amount of Talent in the house and it was a treat for the audience. The week after
the contemporary competition my daughter Cecilia tried out for American Idol in Miami. I can't even
begin to tell you what an exhausting ordeal that was. [never again!]. Most of the people chosen that
day were the crazy and ridiculous characters. We saw a lot of very talented people barely get a chance
to audition before being dismissed.. Talent Quest is truly a competition that showcases talented
people and also a lot of fun and we are looking forward to being part of the group from Florida on our
first trip to Laughlin, Nevada. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you all there.

Wow....You and Steve did outstanding job this year with Talent Quest. I believe this year judges were
fair and I was very happy to place 3rd. Thanks for making me a star for one day:)

Hi Phil,
How do I get a copy of what the judges said about my performance? The event was great overall. But I
didn't expect it to be so long. I think everyone should just sing one song. Sitting 6 hours or longer in
that little space was not fun. Thank you for hosting such community event though. I know it's a lot of
work for you and Steve. :)

contemporary division! We had a great time doing it, the talent was phenomenal, and the judges
comments were extremely constructive!

Hey Phil.
Omar and I just wanted to say thank you for your kindness yesterday and your words of
encouragement. We apologize for leaving so quickly there at the end but it had been a very busy week
for the both of us and we were really feeling it, no doubt you and Steve were feeling pretty weary
yourselves. Also wanted to say what a great job you and your crew did putting the competition
together, your dedication to it's success was obvious.
Although feelings of disappointment were felt, we understand you had no control over the judges final
decision. What we couldn't understand was, was it not first and fore most a singing competition and
not a who knew who, according to the rules of the contest, Rule #9 no judge or contestant will have any
contact and yet the judges were in deed socializing with the contestants, understand we don't want to
come across as sore losers ,we accept what happen, it just came across as friends with benefits, in
others words it not how well you can sing but who you knew well. Wishing you nothing but the best, as
well as hoping Florida does well at Nationals.

stand behind all of us. Talent Quest is a wonderful family and I am proud to part of it all. The KJ's are
just terrific and Steve is so kind and so very funny. I especially loved the theater atmosphere and can't
wait to see it when the construction is completed.

I just want to thank you sincerely for the job you guys did in putting together an outstanding competition.
Everything was first class and the talent was phenomenal. I as glad of my decision to participate this
year and be counted among such talented individuals.
I will say in closing that some of you whiners should skip the contest next year as i personally do not
appreciate the lack of professionalism and disrespect it implies. The
best singers won their respective divisions and deservedly so. The complaints
only blacken the eye of what was otherwise a very classy competition.
