DEBARY--For the first time in 2009, Talent Quest Florida ventured into a new venue--and
the experience brought out some amazing talent.
The Orioles Next 322 in DeBary filled all categories, the biggest two of which were women's
country and men's 50-and-over.
"This venue had the highest scores of any local venue so far this year," said Jenny Jones,
former winner and current judge. "The talent was really enjoyable."
For Talent Quest Florida owners Steve Blanchard and Phil Garris, the contest proved that
there is still room for the contest to grow.
"We were welcomed with open arms at The Orioles and it was a really fun night with great
singers," Garris said. "We hope they enjoyed themselves as much as we did."
The Talent Quest Florida 2009 Regional Finals are once again at The Ritz Ybor in Tampa
July 10, 11, and 12. Contestants advance to the regionals for free. Tickets to the finals are
