Once again, Talent Quest Florida will bring the
best karaoke singers in the state of Florida to
the newly remodeled Ritz Ybor this summer. We
recently confirmed Aug. 22 -24 as the dates for
Talent Quest Florida's State Regional finals.
Local qualifiers have already started and several
venues throughout the state are still considering
joining us in 2008. Winners from those local
competitions will advance to the regional
contest this summer. Make sure you check out
our "venues" page regularly to see these
additional local competitions.
Talent Quest Florida is a regional karaoke
competition that feeds into the national contest
in Laughlin, Nevada. Last year we sent a small
army to the national competition and walked
away with three singers in the top 20!
We're hoping to do even better this year.
Our annual competition has turned into a
must-see event in the state and our family of
contestants, sponsors, judges and volunteers
continue to grow. If you are new to Talent Quest
Florida, welcome to our family. We're looking

| Mookey's Finals wrap with large crowd May 25 |

ENGLEWOOD - It was wall-to-wall people at Mookey's Bar and Grill Sunday, May 25,
when nearly 20 singers kept the stage busy for four hours at the Local Talent Quest
Florida Finals.
"I'm really pleased with the talent that has come out of Englewood," said Talent
Quest Florida co-owner and head judge Phil Garris. "This is going to be a great year
for Talent Quest Florida and this local final has me excited for this year's regional."
The Mookey's finalists will enter the regional finals in August to face off against the
winners of 10 other Local finals from across the state. In all, approximately 200
singers are expected to compete in the August Regional finals.
"Florida is preparing to be successful this year in nationals, and to do that we have
to have strong local competitions," Garris said. "If Mookey's is any indication - we're
going to have an amazing army of talent to choose from this summer."
While the qualifying rounds at Mookey's are now closed, several other venues are
still holding rounds where singers can make it into the local finals. Check out the
Venue Page for more details.
Up next are the Local Finals for Jupiter, Florida at RJ Gators Saturday, May 31; Vero
Beach at Beef O'Brady's Sunday, June 1; and Tampa at Lounge 7.14 Monday, June 2.
Time is running out to qualify for the largest Talent Quest Florida competition in the
contest's seven-year history.
