"I was hoping or more people," said contest co-owner and head judge Phil Garris, "but the
talent here was amazing, so that made up for it. Every one of our singers today could do very
well at the regional finals if they take our critiques to heart. There was a lot of natural talent
here today."
Nearly 20 singers participated in the contest, which was held outside on the patio
overlooking a lake. While it was a warm day, misters kept the singers and the audience cool.
"This is one of the neatest places we've been this year," said Steve Blanchard, contest
co-owner and emcee. "It brought a whole new feel to the contest and I think everyone had a
great time. The performances were really entertaining."
The singers who qualified at Mr. Sisters will now move on to Talent Quest Florida 2011 at the
Double Tree Westshore Hotel in Tampa July 28-31. There they will compete against
approximately 250-300 other singers from around the state vying for a trip to the national
finals in Laughlin Nev., in September.
Advance tickets for friends and families hoping to support their favorite singers can be
purchased on this site for $25.
